got my OBX installed, that thing is HUGE!!! sounds much deeper than the Greddy and feels like it moves through the rpms much smoother. Very impressed with the quality too. The OBX exhaust is definitely a great upgrade for the s/c guys!

are you boosted? if not, you will lose horsepower with the 3" exhaust. I think Frank is referring to 30hp over stock, with the headers and exhaust.

**DISCLAIMER- I am in no way bashing anyone's credibility or personally attacking anyone by posting what I am about to post!**

HP numbers related to modifications are extremely subjective. You WILL for sure make gains on a supercharged 1mz with headers and 3" piping, regardless of the brand of the exhaust and the dyno you use. 30 WHP is a bit high IMO, but 30 hp at the crank does not seem entirely unreasonable. Again, it totally depends on the dyno- I am not arguing in any way that someone's numbers could increase by 30whp from pull to pull with stock exhaust vs. headers/catback.

People just need to remember to take gains with a grain of salt. To be honest, the only mods I ever felt a true and significant difference from on my solara were the supercharger itself, and when I bumped from 4 psi w/ a greddy catbck to 6 psi w/ the full JPP setup.

Nice numbers again Adam. I'm sure some sticky tires and a new catback would work in your favor. :)

i dynoed 252 whp with stock exhaust at 6 lbs boost, after obx complete exhaust with headers was installed i gained 32.5 hp, 284.5 whp, thats a 32.5 hp gain, your results may vary, bbq bob had similar results when he did his exhaust, he eneded up with 272.4 whp at 5.5 lbs boost, adam dump your current exhaust go 3in with headers, i guarantee you'll feel the difference.................. :drinking:

Yeah, I need a better catback, lol. I know.....One day when I have money.

I am currently at 224whp (DynaPack) with maxed injectors.

doubt he'll get a 30whp gain, but he will definitely see a gain once he frees up his exhaust a bit more

while tuning his car, his top end would not budge regardless of how much I took away, or added fuel. I was able to lean out his mid-band for an overall gain of (if I remember correctly) around 20whp throughout the powerband, but relatively speaking, the top end did not move much at all

Even after consulting Tony, he was not able to pull any more power out of Adam's setup.

Long story short, there are two possibilities without further investigating injector duty cycles, etc. Either he his maxing out his stock injectors, the stock midpipe on his exhaust system is creating too much backpressure and restricting his top-end, or both.

He'll get around to it soon enough, I'm sure!
