still waiting on the pistons so I did this for now..

one t3/t4 turbo, external gate set at 4 psi. built a bracket and mounted the turbo under the battery which is a great location, not using the intercooler, just the bov and piping from the turbo straight up to the throttle body.

dyno today:
221 hp @ 5000 rpm
232 ft lbs

GREAT numbers for just 4 psi on stock everything (except exhaust). I used stock fuel system and still didnt run lean.

On my way home, I started thinking...
I have designed and made 2 turbo kits in the past for 2 different companies for the 240sx and the Cavalier/Cobalt/Ion years ago. Why not make this kit here for us with the 1mz and make them affordable?

Anyone intersted? I think $1900 is a fair price for all the new quality parts. These kits are so easily upgradable. Just add on what you want as you go along over time and keep turning up the boost.

I build them. I do all the building and welding myself. Easy to install and less expensive than the supercharger kit.

Anyone interested?
if not, no biggie.

I will get some pics as soon as I get things cleaned up. I am not in a major rush as I still have a regular job too.

yeah, factory manifolds stay in place. these pipes i made should bolt up to any of the aftermarket headers also.

Seriously. I would even be very tempted to switch from the SC to TC. Can't wait to see pics of your work.
