sorry if im posting in the wrong spot. i have 1mz-fe and i put hole in my block because i screwed the wrong bolt in. it was too long... (fail) :x i covered it up with jb water weld and it runs now but i feels like my solara lost power. should i get a new block? get another motor? i want do some engine work instead of getting a s/c. bigger pistons, rods whatever it is. need some advice on what to do :)

Where on the block did you do the damage? I don't see how a bolt would go through the block by just being too long.

Also, you won't make any decent power by just building up the internals. You'll need to add forced induction to make any use of the 1MZ.

one of the bolts holding the alternator. i changed my alternator cranked up my motor and oil went everywhere. where do i start off to get some power? got headers and intake so far

buy a supercharger. check the FS section.

That sucks. You could do a 1mz/3mz hybrid. Then you would have a totally new bottom end and that's perfect since your top end should be fine. You should talk to Gabe about the hybrid. He told me that 220whp is easily obtainable with the hybrid. And it should be a lot cheaper than the SC.
