Words of Wisdom from Tony The Tiger

So apparently this thread got denied Sticky status...

I'm surprised this thread hasn't gotten more responses, considering it is a very well written out piece of lit from the most widely-known boosted Camry guy on the continent..

PSE Chargers....around $2800. I believe.
I don't know if that price was with the rebuild or not.

Ahh, I can finally post again...

If only aftercooling the TRD SC is as easy as most other cars...

I am on the same boat as most of you.. Recently, I got greedy and installed a 2.25" pulley so I can get 10-12 PSI right off the line. Long story short, I have a variable bypass setup so that the supercharger builds 12 PSI of boost at low RPM's but gradually tapers off and ends up supplying about 7 PSI of boost on the top-end.

I noticed now with the warmer weather, my TRD SC heatsoaks... IAT's reach up to the 60's deg C, so I am trying to do some basic porting on the SC and modify/upgrade the venturi/S-tube, like ENDYN's method.

As crazy as it sounds, I am at the point that I need both my turbo setup + SC setup to be efficient...lol

hmm, this would be interesting cuz to most of us, the TRD supercharger is a written in stone design so that the average person would never attempt to cut into it to make it more efficient...
this is gonna be interesting

all you need to do is run meth, i just had greg install mine 2 weeks ago, with a with a 375 injector, and my supercharger is pretty cold, colder than the temp of my hand, frank aka jetbtkng is the same, i also gained 6 whp, from 289.8 to 296, the meth is is good for about 5-7 hp, the more mods u have, the less gaint, the tuner had a hard time tuning sarki's car, because of the gas he wants to use, frank aka jetbtkng told sarki and the tuner he needed to set the meth to ingage at 2psi so it wouldnt ping, the tuner told all of us the franks and my car was easy because we run more octane, so you dont need an intercooler if you use meth..and for about $350 its cheaper than an intercooler...
