Need a few suggestions-air flow sensor setting on a emanage

Postby STYLSH » Sat Apr 24, 2010 10:41 pm

I've wired the emanage blue in now. No error codes from the emanage. However there are these rotory dials that sets what type of air flow sensor is on the car. Car idles fine with the current setting of 2-5 but once you hit boost, completely loses power. What settings do you guys have?

btw, I've got a gen4.5 1mz.

well, i run the emanage ultimate, however my airflow sensor is the AFM, which is a flap type sensor.

on my emanage i use the TY_FL2 which stands for Toyota Flap type2

however there are only 4 types, Hotwire, Pressure, Karman and Flap

I'm not sure if the MAF is classified as Hotwire or not, but it's definitely not flap or or pressure.

There are only 6 different types of Toyota Hotwire options, i guess try them out...and while ur at it, send tony a pm

Ahh now i understand what Tony means by trial an error. I think I need to trial and error 2-2 all the way up to 2-6. Supraa have map sensors as does us it seems so 2 should be right.

Would it damage the engine if it's wrong though as it seems the only way to test it is if it works properly at boost?

Ok, it kinda went well. Using the TY-HW 5 atm. The australia ecu's seems to be slightly different to the ones in the states. They ran the car fine with the supra injectors and 5.5psi, no super rich idle problems, as a matter of fact the first run was actually at the stoich ratio until top end. The car also didnt like anyone touching the timing. It left an "ignition malfunction code" when the emanage was plugged in to alter it and the car wouldnt start properly. So its only using the emanage for fuel atm, but with a lot more settings than what a SAFC would be able to provide.

The car is putting out 172kw atw on an unadjusted graph.
