What were the steps made to ensure oil pressure was sufficient before firing?

I was shorted on payment after over a year of waiting. I've always been an honest guy and that motor worked just fine when it left my hands.

The deal we agreed to put the final payment for the motor to be completely paid off no later than the end of August of this year, per the monthly minimum payment amount we agreed upon. It was in August that I attempted to contact you several times regarding final payment and questions about the engine and you refused to answer/return my calls. Second to that, I paid off over half of the remaining balance by my 3rd month of payment (three months ahead of schedule). You've also refused to give me any additional information regarding my engine which could be of help.

Third, In October, Ryan quoted me $400 more than what my balance actually was. I didn't catch the mistake until several months later. When in August he again said that I owe him this incorrect amount and I worked the math out with him to show him that it wasn't a correct number, he said "There were additional payments for fees I've been carrying" and when I asked him what those fees were and how much, all he said was "It's all irrelevant at this point."

Now, have I been perfect? No. I was late by a month giving Ryan $200 for shipping. He complained about the credit card fees he was racking up but come to think about it that doesn't really make sense to me considering I had just given him an $500 towards my initial down payment and shipping was only $400. I was also late one month starting my first payment after the engine was shipped. It's also a fact that I paid him 3x what I was obligated to for the next two months to make up for my initial lateness. It's also a fact that since then I have remained ahead of schedule with 96% of the engine paid as of March '13. Considering all that and that the engine is blown, I dont think answering my phone calls and having a respectful adult conversation and sharing some info about the engine which just put me potentially a few thousand dollars down the toilet is too much to ask for!

Simply put, while I would not go so far as to claim that Ryan (Akora) sold me a bad engine knowingly, the fact that he has been extremely unreasonable, his crappy unhelpful attitude over petty and false reasons, misquoting me what I owe him by hundreds of dollars, questionable reasons for suddenly parting out his car, and refusal to give me any additional information regarding my purchase does not inspire confidence in me that Ryan conducted a fair trade with any sense of honesty. Regardless, even if Ryan was being honest in his trade, his attitude since then has been nothing but unreasonable, unhelpful, offensive, frustrating, and worst of all — damaging to my project's success.

I would like to give a special thanks to Brad Bedell. He is a long standing member of the Toyota community that was generous enough to sell us the original 3.1 forged 1mz engine he used to win Sport Compact Cars 2004 street challenge. 476whp 535tq on a trd blower and a 110shot. This build continues on and is sure to bust out some serious numbers!!!!!
