It takes care of the temp sensor code and it's pretty easy. When I get back home to my laptop I'll look for the link to the DIY I found, it was on a supra forum I believe, and I'll post it. You basically bend it into a U and stick it in the plug and wrap the shiz out of it with some electrical tape. The position sensor will still pull a code, that's something I've been working on for a minute but haven't figured out a fix for that one.

It's a 10k ohm 1/2 watt resistor. This link should cover it all http://www.envipcotech.com/randy/supra/egr/egr.htm. :D

Car should be out of the garage this weekend. I was hoping to finish last week but I had much crap to do with school and just needing a weekend for myself. If everything goes smooth ill be doing some basic street tuning just so I can putt around then it'll get y pipe work done. Then I'll do some serious street tuning

Yes the car is running. I have a 8 am appointment Saturday to get the y pipe fixed and still need to put together headlights and bumper as well as wire up and install the rest of the meth kit

Ill make a list of parts needed to do this mod once I have more time to sit down

so for your tuning you only plan on using the AFC NEO?

Yup. Budget is tight right now. Looking for a new job at the moment. Neo is already hooked up. 8 am exhaust appointment Saturday and then some tuning just to get things safe u know. Don't think I'll have time to install the meth until after the exhaust shop

I Don't have a Facebook lol. I'm excited to see more about it. I Have a ton of questions but I'll wait for the parts listing to come out to answer most of them.

Bostonlara wrote:Other mods I've already had done myself:
- Injen intake
- Custom exhaust from cat-back
- Lower Springs Teins up front, Eibachs rear for even drop
- Tokico shocks front, KYB rear
- TRD rear sway bar on track setting
- TRD short shifter w/ TWM 400gram shift knob
- EBC Red stuff pads all round
- Slotted & drilled rotors
-NRG oil catch can
-Camaro Knock sensors

So the plan at the moment is this
-full 3MZ swap
-TRD Supercharger @ 5.5psi
-Snow Performance methanol injection with MAF boost controller @ 625ml nozzle
-305cc injectors
-NST Light Weight crank pulley
-Redesign my y-pipe (Lou's custom must have been drunk when they fab'd it)
-electronic exhaust cut-out
-Cold air extension
-Jim's Fuel Mod
-walboro 255 fuel pump
-170 degree thermostat
-colder spark plugs
-

Wow, your build sounds a lot like mine at 5.5lbs of boost, except for the 3MZ block and exhaust cut-out. Is Gabe helping you with this?

Looks awesome I'm impressed with your choice of mods. But I am biased because that's what I did.

I haven't read all the other posts in this thread yet, but a few suggestions:
Make sure to add an SAFC2 in there or other device for tuning and also invest in a good Wideband AFR gauge. I have a fantastic AEM UEGO Wideband for sale if you want. Also, talk to Greg, you might be able to get away w/o bigger injectors since you're adding methanol. Make sure your methanol kit is hooked up well and that you never run dry. Might want to consider the Snow Performance Safe Injection system.

lol thanks man. ya gabe has helped me out with this build for parts and info! the build has taken ALOT longer than expected, more so because of my limited time to work on it and after i discovered i shattered 5 out of 6 piston ring lands on 5 of my pistons :drinking:

ya i got the same wideband too! and i'm pretty sure my supra injectors are out of your car actually. saw it in person when i drove up there over the winter. engine was very impressive even on the engine stand! my meth isn't hooked up yet because i had a appointment at Lou's Custom for a custom y pipe. its completely free flowing and actually makes the car sound super mean crawling around town.

im installing my rear EBC red stuff pads this weekend and hopefully doing the meth set up sunday or monday. pump and reservoir are bolted in but controller and nozzle need to be put it.

The car has so much more torque in second and third gear with 3MZ set-up. haven't floored it yet and going boosted to 4psi once. otherwise im running a rich tune for the time being and will wait to floor it and experience the full 5.5psi pulley!

Okay, so since I've been driving the car and done some tuning I've noticed a few problems. Car the will not boost past 3/3.5 psi no matter what. I previously stated a saw 4 psi which did happen. Car feels good in closed loop but once it's goes open loop it starts to bog down a bit and won't pull hard at all. I need to check the vacuum lines out again. I also threw 6!!!! Yes 6 codes. P0100, 110, 120, 135, and p1410, p1411. Cleared the codes drove, hit open loop and only p0135 came back right away. Didnt drive long enough after that to see if any others came back. The codes a wacky though, throttle position sensor, Maf sensor ( could be covered in oil from previous engine), and a lean coolant sensor code ( this one made me do a double take). So once I get more free time ill have to figure these out, and it's finals week.

One thought on why I'm not boosting fully could be the 3MZ heads. Just a thought but maybe they can't hold the boost like the 1MZ heads because on the VVTI being disabled? Idk just a thought

what knock sensors are you running? Have you checked your bypass valve to see if there's any rips in the diaphragm?

Ill have to check diaphragm, I'm running GM knock sensors right now. I'm thinking vac line but it seems like a lot of boost pressure just isn't there. Foot to the floor and it consistently makes 3psi everytime. I made more with the 3.4" pulley that came with the charger and that maxed at 5 sometimes 6psi. I hope it's not the 3MZ heads

If you want to get rid of those 3mz heads let me know.
