Has anyone ever been going through the gears at full throttle and had the car dump the boost around 4 rpms and then re3sume boosting at the regular psi (in my case 4) ?

I'm not certain about the verbage, but when I first bought my S/C, the servo actuator (not sure of name) by where the throttle body connects was damaged. It's the small external plastic part with a metal rod and diaphragm inside that sort of controls boost. Anyway, before the S/C was installed, I noticed it's bracket was bent and I hooked up a vacuum gage, it didn't hold vacuum and it turns out the diaphragm was ripped. The dude I bought it from got me a new one and all is well.

your car shoudnt even be boosting at 4rpm's, heck it would be barely moving

however boost is cut when the gear changes in automatics. the ebc is controlling when to pack on the psi.. unless you are talking about a whole different story.

No, it releases the boost mid gear... and by then its like 3.75ishpsi, why shouldnt i be boosting around 4rpm? I have a standard and for some reason, latly the car boosts in neutral.

hmm, dont you mean 4k rpm?

maybe your gauge has a leak in the line. but then it would show 0 all the time.

im sorta confused. lets say you are in 3rd gear. you are in gear revving into 4k rpms. all of a sudden the boost cuts? what about past 4.5k rpms?

Mike,
I think he mean that he will be accelerating under full throttle in 1st gear and he gets boost before 4000rpm, but once he hits 4k it cuts, and then comes back again after that. Is that correct?

In any gear it does it, its pretty random, but yes i ment 4k rpm sorry. Its just for a split second like it just dumps all the boost for mebbe 1 sec and then its boosting again... any ideas?

hmm.. check your air line, to see if there is any debris in it. (i doubt anything is caught but, anything is worth the check at this point)

are you sure its for a full second? Thats a long time for you not to have boost. Is it noticable just on the gauge, or does the car stop accelerating as fast for that second?
