XERD HEADERS RELEASED! PICS INSIDE!

Postby XERD » Tue Nov 11, 2003 3:33 pm

Hello,

We just got back from the dyno, unfortunately we couldn't find the old dyno sheet so we cant compare the two. I know its a bummer but for some reason all of our old dyno runs were erased from the dyno shop's computer and this is all we got for you.

I can tell you from what i remember the first base dyno made 129HP at the wheels however i dont remember the torque numbers. These are not corrected numbers by the way.

I will post the new dyno sheet later tonight for everyone to see but the results are:

Max HP 148.4 @ 4750 RPM
Max Torque 170.8 @ 4250 RPM

I wish we had the old dyno sheet to compare because these are some nice gains. We also noticed on the dyno that at high speed (RPM) the stock exhaust is not able to provide with much power so we cant wait to see the new results with our new exhaust system on there.

I will post the dyno sheet later tonight as well as a new group buy.

We will start taking orders tomorrow.

Thank you, Eyal

It was a v6 auto. Thats the crappy part about the auto tranny, 200 at the crank and 150 at the wheels :(

Anyways a baseline would really help to see the gains.

Also you'll find that there is much more of a market on a supercharged car, so if you could do dynoing on that you'll probally persuade a lot more people

wait a minute, a stock v6 solara gets only 129 at the wheels?? thats more than a 35% loss, holy crap. that means my four banger must get like 10

Yanks0114,

We did dyno a V6 Solara on a Mustang dyno.

We dont have a supercharged Solara to test on. If we did it wont be a problem however the person would have to purchase the headers in order to test them.

Unfortunately i cant do anything about the base line as all of the old dynos were deleted from their computer.

The headers make BIG POWER, once people will start getting their headers hopefully they could dyno it and show everyone the difference.

Thanx, Eyal

Yes, it is amazing how much power cars actually show on the dyno, some cars show more, some less, depends on the dyno you use.

We have dynoed some V6 eclipse's at 130's and 140's at the wheel, each car is different. We even dynoed a 350Z at 220 at the wheels, keep in mind these are not corrected numbers so they seem a little lower.

Dynos dont lie.

Thanx, Eyal

Hmmm....according to your previous post on August 21, the stock car made 149 HP at the wheels, which is consistent with other people's results. Now with headers you make 148.4 HP. Am I missing something here?

PS...

If you want to be thorough here, you will have to reinstall the stock system and do a new baseline run. That is the only way we will have objective information.

Ragtop George,

That is what we are thinking of doing, i am not sure what is going on with the dyno but we might have to take it to a different place. Seems like they might have some issues with their dyno.

I just saw the post you were talking about, it is actually a mistake, it made 129 and not 149 horsepower.

We will dyno the car with the stock headers again so we can compare but it wont happen too soon.

Thanx, Eyal

Go to the post by IcrazychrisI - he has only a Greddy Evo exhaust and put up bigger numbers.

If I remember correctly a 5spd stock solara put down about 170 to the ground. And an auto stock was at 150, or high 140s.

I highly doubt a stock V6 does 129.

At the very least, you could do some timed runs with the car. If the power gains are as big as you claim, it should be easy to see the differences in timed 0-60 or 1/4 mile runs.
