Ipod Shuffle Car Adapter

Ipod Shuffle Car Adapter

Hey folks,

I remember a while back when we had quite a few active threads regarding car adapters/kits for the Apple Ipods seen here: http://www.ninjapirate.com/ipod.html. Anyway, I decided not to conform like all other 14 year old girls and go for the new Ipod Shuffle (less than retail). It wont hold as many songs but thats more $ for the intake.

So all aside, I just wanted to (hopefully) start a thread that can give a heads up on kit for the Ipod shuffle. I know its a loong shot but a little bit of good attitude and dignity can make it happen.

I think your best bet to find something will come out from this company

http://www.griffintechnology.com/products/

belkin also makes ipod stuff so they may have something for ya

http://www.belkin.com/iPod/matrix/index.asp?cid=1&lid=1

as you can see they dont have anything listed on either site for the shuffle and id imagine that it would be pretty tough to make some sorta fm transmitter that will work seemlessly like say the itrip from griffin because of the size of the shuffle.

Ive got a feeling your going to end up with an fm transmitter ( prob same or larger size) to that of the shuffle hooking up to it threw wires. like this unit below.

There is no "dock connector" for the shuffle... only the mini-stereo jack...

so, no true integration (ie using steering wheel controls)...doubt that the USB would be useful for integration

I'd say the only think you could do is a FM transmitter, or a auxiliary input (and using the shuffle as a wired remote... actually that would be kinda cool)
