I have mmr hr3 18's 42 off set

I also have a lexus ls430 which is the same bolt pattern so i tried a tire that would work for both cars- Not into that rubber band look-

225-55-18 and the rears rub the lower shock tower any suggestions!!!

I have a 25 mm spacer and then it rubs the outer fender, then i had a 10mm spacer
now it doesnt rub the fender but the lower shock tower -

Question if i lower the air pressure in the tire---aahhh what a stuopid question just typing it sounds stupid-----NOw What??

15 or 20mm spacer?

When you put the 25mm on and it rubs the fender, if you took it back 5mm would it help?

How could i - Its a solid withe the studs and all-

The 10mm I had was a cheap spacer - I would hate to go more without having more stud to grab on to -- What do you think-

I mean i could order another spacer 5mm and give a shot, But do you think that would be enough Grab on the lugs>????

I had 225/40/18s and they didn't rub on a -30 offset (G35) rim. I hate the rubber band look as well, but you might need new tires. Check out the Sticky thread on wheel/tire calculators and see what should fit before spending more time in frustration (and $$).

I agree - for an 18 inch wheel, that ends up being much bigger than the stock wheel diameter.

When the tire's like a 15 series (i.e. almost no sidewall to speak of, think of cars with dubs)

HAVE A QUESTION:

Since the top of the tire touches the bottom of the shock tower- Would it be okay if it just clears it???

I assume it rides up and down with the wheel- As I would like to go with a

215 - 55 - 18

Naw man.. 55 on a 18 is way too much.

Rock a 225/40 or 45/18

That shoudl be fine.

that too low profile- that less than stock- I am looking for that juicy ride not the low profile look.

Do you think it will work and what about clearing the bottom of the shock??

Our wheel well only have a certain amount of space. Unless you roll your fenders u gonna rub.

well since u wont use the tire calculator
our stock size is 215/55/17

215/55/18 would make the tire 3.7% larger overall
while a 225/45/18 would make is 1.3% smaller

you are supposed to get closest to stock diameter as possible
and trust me if you get good enough quality tires you wont notice a more uncomfortable ride
for me i think my 225/45/18 ride much smoother and comfortably than the stock 17s

i think technically 235/45/18 is the closest u can get, but u will most likely get rubbing because of its width
