Cool idea of opening up the door to see if wheels curb or not. Sounds like a good thing to do if parallel parking on the driver's side too.

Wow... that is a dig. But it's on topic and informative. MichaelT, stop photochopping your mods in! I bet you're not even slammed... oh wait, that's right, I've had your car dropped on my foot before. nvm.

it just that i wanted to put myself the same doors. that is why i found this thread and posted a reply 3 years later.
Lately one guy convinced me not to put them. First because of the wind , he told me that if i open the door ans the wind blows my car will be damaged, and also that in the wet weather when you raise the door you cannot go out because the water and mud are drippin from the edge of the door on your head.

IMO, if you got 2g's to blow on the car why on lambo doors? you do something like that MAYBE if you've already have your car nicely hooked up (rims, springs, tints, etc...). Just spend that money on a FSB, RSB, cp-e, intake, etc....whatever else that will improve your car's performance/handling for under 2g's

I'd like to see a suicide door conversion.
Doesn't help with how much side room you need to clear the door (between car/wall), but really nice when entering/exiting.
You just open the door, and step down.
Done.
