I was curious to know the dimensions on one of those "VVT-I" emblems. I'm thinkin I might put it where the "SE" emblem is or where the "TOYOTA" one use to be. Any suggestions?

Shaving the Gen 2 will run you anywhere from $400 - $800 dollars, since there are two holes for the Solara and two holes for the Cowboy emblem.

Here's a pic of what you were wanting to do dvdchris45. There's a few more on my site on page 1. I'm gonna have mine shaved and will sell all my emblems once I get the money.

I have the artic_frost_pearl, which is a three stage paint, perhaps that's why it is so much for me. I don't know about anyone elses.

wow, that's very nicely done mike. One question though, whats the length on your vvt-i emblem? It seems like it fit in perfectly where the 'SE' use to be so I'm guessing about 4 inches or so? cuz i dont wanna end up ordering one thats too big and realize its too late when I finally get it.

You're right, it's approx. 4 inches.

Here's the measurements that they have: 7.3 by 1.7cm and 4mm thick.

I purchased this one. I was $20 after S&H.

This is the cheapest I've seen the VVT-i. I wish I had seen this when I purchased mine. $6.99 plus $5 for S&H = $12...not bad.

hmm badging the emblem on the side fenders looks pretty damn good as well. The new emblems come with an adhesive right? cuz if not what kinda adhesives would u guys recommend? Don't wanna damage the paint or anything.

hah, sorry i meant if the emblems were used. I know the new ones come with an adhesive on the back but the $6.99 looks oh-so-thrilling.
