Installed reverse lights...

Installed reverse lights...

Postby philosophicaljt » Sun Feb 01, 2009 6:51 am

I bought these PIAA 2100XT series lights on clearance. Part # 02190. They are a bright white FOG lights. But they were cheap (for PIAA's) and they mounted how I wanted, so I used them. Here is my install of my buckteeth/reverse lights:

Can a Mod please change the title to Installed reverse lights, or something similiar? Thanks!

Very cool JT, not my style personally but its your car and if you like it thats what counts. Good work other than the mounting issue.

Very nice work...greater visibility but I believe the greatest benefit being less chance of getting hit while going on reverse (hopefully).

Good idea....but not my personal taste to have fogs hanging from the rear of my car. It'd be an eyesore on a gen1. I've always wanted to do that mod, but put the lights on a movable bracket that moves into place when the car is put into reverse, and then retract when put into drive or park.

They do a great job! It took a little while to get them aimed properly, but I love them :)

Geez, am I the only member on here without access to a professional garage? I gotta pull my car out of my teenie weenie garage just to replace the dome light for crying out loud. Meanwhile most of you hotshots are revamping your whole suspension, installing new rotors and changing the transmission oil all in under 2 minutes. Just jealous and envious.

Man, this is ugly to look at. Maybe in ohio its cool to rock something like that but here in cali you'll get laughed at all day.
Great idea though, but why not use slim white led fogs for something like this?
I know rewiring your turn signals is not the greatest lighting output on the floor but it gets the job done.
This reminds me of fogs on the rear of trucks. Why not just get the 2.5 reverse lights added to your bumper for a flush look?
