Anyone have this exact set up?

What type of rubbing might occur? (During bumps, turning, etc)?

Do you have cut fenders, removed fender lining rolled fenders, etc?

Are you happy with your choice in size, or would you have downsized for a better fit, going back?

go with a 235/30/20 nt 555 tire 225 is to narrow you'll have a ver rough ride also it lowers the car more i had my se sport with 235/30/20 nt55 on sprint springs for a 2003 solara because it dropped my car more than anything availabel for the gen2 smotth ride just able to feel really big bumps on the road but norubbing at all even with 5 passengers. i did have my rear fenders cut though.

There are people on here with 20s on their Gen1s, we had a pic thread a few years back.

*found one*

^^ Nice Latin but that's a Gen 1 not a Gen 2

You might have to search the Pictures section but I've seen a couple of Gen 2s over the years with 20s.

You'll still have to roll/trim fenders, camber adjust and stretch rubber bands on the rims but it can be done. Chances are you'll still rub sometimes like all of us do. ;)

I just messaged BeatDownLow from the Black Onyx Thread. Thanks!

still hoping for a specific example! Anyone...?

This guy has the same wheel specs and everything that I was looking for. He says there is minimal rubbing, only when he has some big guys in his car. He is on TRD springs too. I was hoping for a second opinion.

Looks like there shouldn't be any issues?

Doh! the first reply sig threw me off, sorry.

I thought Gen2s with 20s was a no brainer, I've seen them on here. Guess not.

i would never run 30 series tires unless you live on pillow roads. i'm new to these Solaras but isn't the stock offset +42? why would a +40 wheel with a 8.5" width be of any problem? just run 225/35/20's all around and you'll be fine :)

I can't imagine them causing any issue either on a 225/35r20. Just taking extra precaution so I don't end up with $2500 wheels/tires and a car they don't fit well on.

225/40/19....... 19x8.5 in the front, 19x9.5 in the back

I am not lowered and I'd rather not roll or trim...

how much am i gunna be rubbin if i dont roll?

p.s. offset is +35.
