I think I'll be looking into replacing those awful high beams. Has anyone tried using the Sylvania SilverStar headlights? I've heard that the new SilverStar Ultras have a very short life expectancy. Are the standard SilverStars worth the extra cost over Halogens?

theres really no point into upgrading your DRL/high beams, but you should upgrade to HIDs... Projectors + Hids= :)

I really don't have the $$$ to convert to HID's....I just bought a pair of SilverStars on EBay. I was just checking my fogs (they don't seem to be working) and noticed that the former owner also put the blue tinted bulbs in there....arrgh! I was going to check the fuse to the fogs to see if it was blown, can't get the darn things out....tried a pair of tweezers first, then went to Pep Boys and bought a fuse puller, still can't get them out! Do the newer cars (and/or foreign cars) use a different type of fuse than the older and/or US cars?

newer fueses are smaller then the older cars. Also how much did you pay for your silverstars ? HID Kits arnt that expensive unless you want to go all out and buy a 500 dollar kit.
Sounds dumb but have you turned the fog light switch on, where your headlight switches are ?
heres a pic of my hids in day light, i only paid 55 for my kit and had them for over a year now http://www.solaraguy.com/viewtopic.php? ... highlight=
