Installation and Testing of Injen SRI at track

The increased noise is definitely a positive thing, I will test it out at a local track soon to see how much of an improvement it made over stock. I will post those race results at the drag strip on this thread.

First impressions:

The car with the SRI had slightly more pull than stock, it didn't lose any bottom end at all.

That is interesting, your Injen rests differently on the engine compartment than mine.

The seller didn't say it included the heat shield, I think there is a tutorial in making your own.

The first start after installing the intake and reconnecting everything, the car shut off but then a second restart it became fine.

There were no CELs during the test drives and everything worked smoothly, that is more important than anything to me.

*Edit: Mike, I think the Scion TC also had their own Injen SRI, could there be a chance that yours was made for the TC? Not that it matters since it fit fine and worked fine for you.*

I just had Toyota install mine for me... they also wash your car whenever they do anything to your car... and needed an oil change anyways, so it all worked out, havent had any issues with mine yet!

I wished that I could have done the SRI mod sooner, it is a great mod.

My next mod in this summer will be the NST lite-crank pulley, I want to get all the not so expensive mods done first. Then an exhaust and the car project will be complete.

I have decided not to do the TEIN coilovers or TRD lowering springs w/ GR-2 shocks because of that Albertsons parking lot exit that scrapped the heck of the car's front bumper.

I also have to get that bumper repainted this summer.

I totally forgot that it was made for the Camry, I remember calling multiple places to make sure it would fit my Solara haha

My INJEN SRI's product # SP2026P, which also fits the 2AZ Camry as well as the Gen 2 Solara with the 2AZ engine.

What is you guys' INJEN SRI product #?

Edit: you guys must have the IS2025P Injen, which looks like this:

My INJEN SRI has MR technology, whatever that means, it is some kinda "tuned" intake.

This is like the X-files epidsode of Injen Intake, so what is the model # of your injen Mike?

Your Injen looks exactly like the IS2025P, but its not, its the SP model, so I am really confused.

Not that this all really matters to me since my intake FITS and WORKS fine on my car, it is just really strange to notice that I am the ONLY one on this car club that has the longer Injen SRI installed on the Gen 2 I4 Solara.

Sorry Mike, a couple of minutes ago when we were talking, my phone's battery died haha so you got cut off during middle of a sentence.
