Just wondering what would people say about this, I've been stuck in the middle of what color temp should I go with.

i was trying to decide too
so basically i wanted a slight blue tint and got 6000K
but i noticed the gen 2 OEM projectors give it a blue color
so my 6000K are blue and light output is not as good as i thought it would be
so i would get 5000K which should give nice light output as well as a nice color

Did you get 35w or 50w, or another wattage? I am interested in 8000K's but if you are unhappy with the 6000k output then i may go lower in the spectrum. I would not go lower than 6000k though...so that gets my vote.

I have 4300k which look great in the LS460 bixenon conversion I have. If you want brighter go with a 55w ballast vs. 35w. The light spectrum has been researched thoroughly and 4300k is the best.

^^

Do cops bother people for bright HIDs?

I know Mercedes and BMWs are equipped with HID headlights and they are blinding-bright so cops might be more lenient cars that have aftermarket HIDs because of that.

I think I will go with a 6K if I were to choose.

I got 55w 6000k headlights, and 35w 4300k fogs. I guess I should post pix.

I Have HID's with no projectors and I have never been pulled over by any FL Cop, or any Cop for that matter, yet be it FHP OPD or Orange County... Windermere is a different scenario that I'd rather not try unless I really have to

6000K looks better, some will tell you that 4300-5000
has better light output though. I'd still go with 6000K.
Trust me, I'm a technician.

i do feel that it's only a matter of time before i get pulled over for the lights. it seems like with the projectors they're pointed right in people's faces instead of down at the ground.

I've seen many HID lights around san jose/cupertino. One time a cop didn't even pull a driver over for having these lights. I was there. Car was i think an acura integ. Probably some cops let you slide.

Getting pulled over has more to do with where the headlights are aimed than brightness.
