Talk about aftermarket Toyota Solara Gen 2 and 2.5 upgrades.

How should I approach this issue with my car's front end?

How should I approach this issue with my car's front end?

The bottom of the front bumper on my ride is all scratched up and since there will be bodywork involved, it might cost around $500 to fix it.

The Gen 2.5 front bumper brand new painted would cost more but it would give my car a unique look.

I am not going for two tone look and I am keeping the original color (not planning to repaint car to different color ever).

Should I:

A) get the front OEM bumper fixed and repainted.

B) Get a oem front bumper from a Gen 2.5.

I personally like the gen 2.0 bumper better, the only thing i like better off the 2.5 is the brakelights.

So I should just fix the oem bumper?

I guess that would be more cheaper but I have a reasonable chance now to do a conversion.

I remember Astro's Gen 1 had a Gen 1.5 front end conversion done to it and that is inspiring me in wanting to do a Gen 2.5 front end conversion on mine.

I agree that the OEM bumper adds more to the curves, but you look at the Solara from certain angles and it will remind you of the square-shaped looking Camry that it is related to.

Don't forget about the new pair of fogs for the 2.5. Everything else should be the same.

But that's what makes it so awesome.

I like how its the only kit available and I have yet to hear of anyone on sg that would sport it. Yet another reason why gen2 aftermarket sucks.

I will just get the oem bumper on my Solara fixed up.

Converting to a Gen 2.5 will be too much of a hassle for me.

And Wkbdr (Mike), hell no.

I searched the internet for the OEM Solara fangs but no luck, any idea on how much they cost?
