just buy some 1/0ga wire and some ring terminals and do it yourself.

unless that box it all connects to has magic in there, it will be the same thing
Alpine + Dynaudio = Sonic bliss.

This kit is completely USELESS. All they do is ground the motor to the chassis. They are missing the 2 most critical elements of the "BIG 3" wiring upgrade. Those two elements being the battery ground to chassis, and battery power to alternator power (fused of course). Here is a easy tutorial on how to do the "BIG 3" wiring upgrade yourself.

http://www.j-body.org/forums/read.php?f ... 9&t=113629

I did this to my Cavalier z24 and it was VERY easy to do. here is a list of ALL of the parts you will need.

10 Feet 4awg Wire- $15.00
Audiopipe Platinum Positive Battery Terminal- $12.50
Audiopipe Platinum Negative Battery Terminal- $12.50
Sound Quest Open End Fuse Holder- $7.00
Stinger 150a ANL fuse- $9.50
8 Ring Terminals- $6.00

Here is a link to my finished "BIG 3" wiring upgrade.

ohh yeah...That box is absolutely retarded and is probably just a bunch of non working wiring and a chip with one LED wired to it...It's like an electrical supercharger, LMAO!

ohh and 0awg (1/0) gauge is just way too big. There is no need. 4awg is plenty large enough.

Thanks for the info SoSleek. I figured it may be a dud product, but I had to ask as sometimes there may be some decent products out there. I looked at the box too and thought to myself that it could just be an LED box. Maybe it does serve some kind of function, but the electric supercharger did come to mind. Haha.

I will be using your grounding kit method. Do you happen to have a DIY that is for the Solara itself? It would be good to see what ground points you use in the engine bay. I haven't had time to explore the engine yet. I still don't even know where the oil filter is as I only opened up the bay once when I bought it a few weeks ago.

No, unfortunately i don't. The only things you would have to locate are a factory ground, Alternator Power terminal, and a engine ground (any bolt on your engine that is conductive. I could help you locate these if you'd like.
