Cleaned it up, shot it with 4 coats of Krylon Fusion. Allowed it to dry overnight, done. Tested it in a couple of areas and no problems. Put the parts back in the oven and after 10 minutes at 210 degrees put everything back together. Ran the car through my touchfree car wash at work half a dozen times and no leaks!!! Everything came out perfect!!!

On the contrary, when I used the same exact paint on the emblems and chrome hood strip, they all had to be degreased, sanded down, and wiped down with acetone for the paint to adhere properly. Weird...
