Need Headlight Help!!!

I'm getting ready to black out the reflectors on the inside of the headlights on my 07 and am having a hard time locating a set of used non-HID headlight assemblies. I can find the 04-06's all day long. What's the difference?

The Gen 2.5's have some different internal moldings than the Gen 2's but the overall fitment is the same.

Nice illustrations, BlackBob, showing the differences
between the two generations. To answer YOUR question,
I propose the following: quick does rhyme with Buick if
you say qu-ick real slow to rhyme with Buick or
Bwick really fast to rhyme with quick. :D :D :D
In other words, it's all in how you pronounce it.

Mounting tabs are all the same though? I'm not really concerned about all the chrome crap in the Gen2.5 headlight especially since it will all be black. Looks like a lot less sanding on that Gen2. Am I missing something or is this an easy deal?

The tabs in some of the ebay pics look to be the same as the earlier gen2.

Gz,

What exactly did you do to prep yours? How are they holding up? Anything you would have done differently on them? What did you use to seal them back up? Thanks for all the help and sorry for the million questions. I'm not a fan of surprises in a project on my daily driver.

Ask away! It's waaaaaaay better to ask questions BEFORE modifications......especially being that each headlamp cost ~$300+ to replace if something happens to go horribly wrong.

when i took the reflector out mine, to seal it up i used clear all weather silicone sealant and clamped the headlight tight during the drying process.

Thanks guys. Ya, I stuck with the 2.5s. Just didn't seem right to go "retro". Here are some more pics...
