HID fogs

I've recently installed an HID kit for my solara (low beam) only. Looks great but doesn't really go great with the OEM fog lights, i've been thinking of buying another HID kit for the fogs but I don't know what temp goes great with my current kit.
Current Temp:
55w 6000K low beam
What temp should be the fogs?

Go with the yellow fog setup. It will look cleaner!

They should be 35w 5000k to match your headlights. Since 55w shouldn't be used with fog housings (excess heat) you should drop to 35w. Since 55w (higher wattage) wash out some color compared to 35w you will need to lower your Kelvin (K) by one color temperature.

Stay away from 55w kits for the fogs. I tried it, and only blew fuses. The stock wiring can't handle the draw.

where did u guys mount the fogs exactly
i already have headlight ones and cant find a good place to mount the fogs =T

I had the bumper pulled off the front and screwed the ballast brackets on to the outer sides of the frame.

thank goodness i read this. i was gunna put my lowbeam hids into the fog and getting bi xenons for the headlights

lol i think ill just get the yellow bulbs for fogs. im so jealous of ur fog lights tho

No need to remove the bumper. I was able to install it without pulling the bumper off. Just lift the car up a little (even driving it on a piece of wood is fine since thats sturdier) and turn the wheel all the way to the right when working on the drivers side, and left when working on passenger side. Youll still be albe to mount the ballast to the frame no problem
