Anybody try the Camry floormats? I'm interested to know if they work.

Yeah, they just aren't the Digital Fit mats, which have sides that mold upwards around the floorboard, center console, and seat rails to hold spills, melted snow, etc.

I have some of those which I bought in June 2009, and they have held up well, but I also would prefer the digital floor liners that SoSleek is talking about. Here are mine:

I got mine from http://www.macneil.com where they cost twice as much as the ones you found, David.

haha jimm! I was about to PM you cuz I haven't seen you here for awhile. Credit goes to you though. I spent forever searching for your thread where you got the billet grill. I found this via the woodview website you posted.

Thanks for missing me, David. It would have been a nice surprise to get a PM from you also. I had to chill for a minute just to keep from over-exposing my car and my opinions. By the way, thread searching is pretty easy on SolaraGuy for me. When you go to the homepage and click on "Search" it brings up a "Search for keywords" blank, and a "search for author" blank. I put in "billet grille" for keyword and "jimmm" for author. Then I checked the circle for "search for all terms," and it brought me right to all my postings concerning the billet grille. I did that in all of 30 seconds. Otherwise, it does take forever to search for a particular thread. Are you planning on getting a billet grille for yourself? On another note, I love your new avatar. It goes well with your username. The Solara pics are nice too. Keep in touch, Friend.

yeah I know. We hate on the noobs all the time for not utilizing the search bar but 2 years later I still only know how to basically navigate myself around this place. I just went to gen2/2.5 and typed grill and dug through a half dozen pages before I found it. I'm looking for more cosmetics for the car these days.

Where'd your sig pic go? You're always the first to tell us to be proud of our own rides. Surprises me to hear you say you're overexposing your car. My avatar is of DJ Premier, an old school hip hop beat specialist. I named my car Primo after him. Hip-hop for life!

anyways, winter is a-comin and I need mats asap before the rain starts. I was thinkin about just getting the Toyota OEM ones but those get real gross when ppl track in mud. It's about $120 for the set of 4 from the link I posted up. Whaddya think of the ones you got so far? Do they do their job?

My Weathertech mats still look good after a year and four months. They have no tears or any signs of wear really. I only wish they were larger and covered a little more space. That is why I rather would like to have the Weathertech Floor LINERS if they were available for our cars. Otherwise, I am pleased with these. I think carpeted mats don't make much sense. When I used my OEM Solara mats, I had some clear vinyl mats on top of the carpeted mats to keep them clean. Now, with the Weathertech rubber mats, I don't have to worry about mud or sludge or oil or grease or foodstuff or any of that nonesense. As soon as the rubber mats start to show any black streaks from shoes or any noticeable dirt starts to collect in the grooves, I just vacuum them really good, and, only when I feel like it, usually whenever I wash the car, I will take them out completely and wash them down also with the leftover car wash water in the bucket.

Yeah carpet mats never made much sense for me...Usually I take my carpet mats out to the self service car wash bays and they have clips on the walls to clip your mats up and I just pressure spray them with the soap water and then rinse. Doesn't matter how much you spray them though more dirt is always stuck in there. Is surprising how clean a car smells again after washing the floor mats. It would just be a lot easier with the Weather Tech Digital Fits. Plus you don't have to wait for them to air out and dry.

When I'm in a hurry I just wash my car like this... CLICK HERE
