trd4life wrote:$3800 for a complete MP90 kit. That comes with bigger injectors and walbro 255 pump. You need to buy your own computer to tune i highly suggest emanage ultimate. If one of you brings me your car i will install all your mods including the supercharger, fuel system, exhaust, whatever, all for FREE. You will be getting around 2k in labor for free. I only need the car for 2-3 days tops. You will have to cut your hood for clearance. I suggest having a reputable body shop perform the work.

That's an incredible deal. If I had the cash laying around I'd be putting in vacation time at work and heading out there right now!

So you're asking someone to bring their gen 2 to Maine for 2-3 days with a $500 emanage ultimate + $XXXX exhaust system, give you $3800, and cut a hole in our hood (because no hood is available to provide extra clearance)? I'd make the trip from MN tonight if it wasn't for 5 of those factors. On a serious note, if you did start manufacturing a kit for us 3mz-fe guys I would be all over it...

...in about a year and a half.

come on guys someone bring me a gen 2 solara to prototype some parts off of. FREE LABOR. I want to start getting into the gen 2 crowd.

I'm located 90 miles north of Boston.

Reading this thread just now for the first time. Wow, Gabe! That's an awesome opportunity! I'm in OHIO area and would almost consider the trip JUST because of the great deal! Heck, I'd probably just FLY back... and FLY in to get it when done! HA!

I'm actually fairly content with my Solara... as it runs WELL and economical overall (obviously, SHORT on power to be REALLY fun) and I'm set with the Supra and TUNDRA for rocket or stump-pulling power delivery!

I'd be excited to see someone take you up on this... just shouldn't do it considering the four kids, wife and multitude of OTHER projects I always have in the works. Solara's one of the few "done" and stable things left in my drive!

Good luck, we're watching!

I'm having trouble finding a host site to upload my pictures for free. What is a good hosting site to use?

Guys is the 07 solara a 3mz-fe? If so YES I can help you absolutely. I have a customer supercharger kit that will work on your car.

ImageShack.us it doesnt even require a username/password.

Just select the photo you want to upload, upload it, then click the thumbnail image it gives you to bring up the larger pic, then right click and select "Copy Image Location". Then paste that URL that you copied between the Img tags that pop up when you click the "Img" button above the text box here on SolaraGuy that you type your message into.

Postby trd4life » Thu Jul 21, 2011 12:53 pm

I have the parts and knowledge to successfully supercharger the gen 2 solara 3mz-fe. I now have a couple of different manifold designs, both non intercooled AND intercooled. My newest intercooled manifold clears the hood, no cutting required. Theres a ton of supercharged gen 1 solara guys running as high as 305whp on the stock 194hp 1mz engine and the teeny weeny trd mp62 charger. Using the 3mz-fe vvti as a starting point using my large Magnuson MP90 blower kit, you gen 2 guys can will be able to hit 300whp at LOW boost with your auto transmission without any issues at all. I have all the fuel system parts, supercharger kits, exhaust components, to make this a reality. When will we see a Gen 2 supercharged 3mz-fe vvti Solara? Its only a matter of time guys. I am willing to sponslor one you guys and provide some free parts, some free labor, etc. Lets take this platform to the next level :) Will we see a GLP MP90 Solara in Import Tuner anytime soon? I hope so guys!

Questions, comments, concerns, etc ??
