I agree with the second one. I like how the top and bottom of the unit are pretty flush. I don't really like it when it sticks out like the top even though it's not by much.

AO, Thanks for posting this! I had been waiting for you to post it since my thread about "best installation kit". I never saw this thread until my recent search...as I am asking Santa for all the components (PAC SWI-JACK, PAC TATO, PAC TR-7, and the Metra 95-8212) needed for installation of my INA-W900BT I got almost a year ago, lol. If both were silver I think both have a nice style that would look nice, but i think the Metra is cleaner!

I'd like to see this...btw what are you using for a steering wheel interface adapter? I am about to buy the PAC SWI-JACK but was wondering if anyone had it. I heard it might have a very slightly delayed response to the head unit, but wanted to ask someone who has used it or find another unit that works well.

Thanks!

Also, did you have the JBL sound system? If so are you still using the stock amp to power your new speakers? If yes to all of the aforementioned questions what wiring harness/kit are you using to connect it to the JBL amp?

I got the pac adapter that works with the steering wheel. It works fine. It does have a sort of delay (.5 secs), makes you feel like you have to press the button harder. Eventually you definitely get used to it and in my opinion it is MANDATORY if you have steering wheel controls.

Awesome thanks for the reply SolaraSport. What head unit are you using?

I have an avic-d3. I am not to sure about the wiring that was used though because it was done by one of those custom shops.

The metra silver is definitely a go. But unfortunately the color will fade around the area where your fingers/ palms usually touch when switching dials on the radio.

Did you have the JBL system? Are your stock speakers still being used?

I have the SWI-JACK and trying to install. My problem is that the radio plug from the (04 Solara w/ jbl) that hooks to the jack is not connected. What I mean is that the wires are no longer in the plug. I do not know what pin the wires are. Reminder: this is not the main power plug but the plug dealing whit the steering wheel controls.
