Some new mods on the Solara

Hey guys, thought I'd make a post about this. I have just replaced all the interior and license plate bulbs with LED's. I love how they look, if you want the link to the products just ask. A pack of 4 bulbs was only $10 and had free shipping.

Tomorrow I will have a new mod done to the Solara, I will upload pics when I get the car back :)

I do have a tinted license plate cover.

There ya go! These work for the two push button lights in the cabin as well as the license plate lights. They are brighter than the stock. I need to find a different dome light though because the one I ordered is the wrong size, though still somewhat works.

Thanks, that is actually on my to-do list! I think I will do it on Friday as tomorrow is pretty busy. Any advice for this?

leave it in the sun
i used goo-gone and sprayed it on there and let it sit for a few minutes
i may have used a hairdryer
and then i used floss, i used a lot cuz it kept breaking, but that means it wasn't really damaging the paint
after ur done, i washed my trunk and polish and waxed it, couple of coats

Looks great! How is the light transmittance with the gen2 tails? I was a little Leary of people being able to see mine so I waited till I got the 2.5's before tinting.

I was actually in the same boat as you a couple month ago then decided to go by the tint place and ask for a sample of their vinyl to put on the brakelight half-assed to see how it would look. It barely hinders the light suprisingly, I will take picture for you later today and upload them here.

The vinyl I have is tinted 30% btw.

Here is a picture I took, it is bright as f*ck outside right now so it makes it look dimmer than it is and the picture made the lights look more reflective than it looks in person. But look at the right brake light and compare it to the center one.

At night you don't even notice it. In fact in the first pics i posted in this thread I have a sample piece of the same vinyl in a small square on the right brakelight.
