2007 Solara SLE 3.3L V6 - questions about exhaust

Just bought a 07 solara with the v6. love the look of it but want to make it sound mean. been talking to some people in the industry about the exhaust and it looks like my options are no exhaust, a straight pipe or some kind of aftermarket TRD exhaust. I want it to sound mean and loud but i feel if i take the whole exhaust off it may be too loud...comments are always appreciated-thanks.

You can go trd or with a magnaflow. The sound is similar but one costs half as much including the pipe fabrication needed to fit. I've had trd but now have magnaflow and was not dissapointed with either.

even with a cpe and a trd exhaust i don't think my car sounds 'mean'.

ok maybe mean was the wrong term. Im just looking for a full, deep tone. I dont like the stock exhaust and im not looking to take the whole thing out from the cat.

Any recommendations on specific mufflers anyone likes? And for those of you that just replaced it from the Cat back - how expensive was it and did you really see a big difference? Thanks again.

Not as loud. You can always have the resonator removed at a later point in time if you feel you'd like a louder exhaust.

similar to the one im about to run, i can get em like 95-110$ shipped off ebay. 2.25" pipe
