New TRD rims...ugly

TRD site says:

"Upgrade the refined styling of the new Solara with our 18"x8" wheel/tire set in chrome or painted silver finish."

I don't know whats up with these new ghetto style rims that are so popular, never expected TRD to do it. Here are a few pics:

I saw them on ebay listed as TRD and I thought it was just a way to get people to look at the item...but genuine TRD dubs? I don't understand either.

These are the 2nd official set to be released by TRD for the 2004 Solara; the one you're showing was the first. You can see for yourself here: http://www.trdusa.com/NewParts.asp

What are you guys saying? Those rims are unreal and are made by Toyota! Who cares if they weigh 30-35 lbs...who actually races their solara? If you guys wanted a race car for ~$25000, a tuned celica, rsx, etc. would CLEARLY be the better bet. I bought my SE V6 Sport for the comfort and style, and those 18" chromes complement our car's looks quite nicely in my opinion.
