Whats up guys. I just installed the new TRD muffler on my 2004 SEV6. Just wanted to give you some impressions to anyone considrng this exhaust. Its definitely finished nicely, but then again it better be for $400. It now fills out the exhaust cutout in thebumper much better than stock and the exhaust tip looks perfect. The sound producedby the new muffler is louder than stock, but not as loud as my friends stock G35 coupe. While cruising its almost as quiet as original. I didn't feel much in performance, TRD's site says 10%increase in HP for the V6 but its probably more like 3HP. I'll try and post some pics if anyone is interested.

Ya post some pics or something. If you could also get like a soundclip the would be great. So do you recommend this to other people or not?

Did you do a whole cat-back setup, or just the muffler?

I just got the bolt on muffler. I just recorded a short jpeg of my car with the muffler that I'll try and get up this weekend.

You won't feel an increase unless you go with alittle bigger, smoother piping going from the cat-back. The muffler is really for the look and the exhaust tone. Besides that, the muffler has no performance benefit.

Cat Back System?

Postby jmack » Sat May 01, 2004 8:04 am

Anyone know of a cat-back system for the 04? Everything I have seen so far is for previous gen.
