I currently own the 2004 toyota solara SE coupe (4 cylinder), I am thinking of putting new 19'' wheels on it, the wheel I have chosen is the Konig Imagine. do you think its a good idea, going from 16'' stock wheels to 19'' aftermarket ones?

Yo! Those are dope, I saw exact ones on a beamer and DANG, they looked sharped when we were rolling side by side. I think 19s are perfect for the 04 Solaras and no lowering needed. They just didn't have 19s in my Donz Lucianos, only 18s & 20s, so 18s were better option and lowering the car should do the trick.

Good luck and post pics.

Peace! 8)

I want to put 19'' wheels on it, but I am worried that the tire might scrub the car if four people sits in it or I put a heavy load (like ninty pounds) in the car. will this happen? cuz I heard this one dude who posted on this board had 20s on his camry and the tire scrubs his car when four people sits in it.

Dude, NO! I had all my stock wheels and 2 people in my car when i 1st got my 20s and i still had almost a good 2inches from the tire to the rear fender!!
OK It seems like there has been a lot of questions on this board about "what size wheel will fit, will anything rub? blah blah blah" If there are guys on here (including myself) who have 20s on the 04, then obviously 18s and 19s wont rub! Well maybe i should correct that...it all depends on the size tire you get, if youre getting some chucky a$$ tire (like a 255/55/19 or some big sh*t like that) then it probably will rub. But when you get your wheels put on they will give you the best size for your car so it doesnt rub. The guy who sold me mine told me that 21s would easily fit on this car if they came in a narrower size. Please, NO MORE worrying about 18s, 19s or 20s fitting!!!!

those wheels are pretty tite :drinking: but i like to keep it clean and simple and would go for 5 spoke or some where around there(racinghart c5 evolution 3 piece or the axis neo's). Then you can upgrade with a big break kit and look bling. 8)

:D :D are 20s going to rub??? LOL!!!! :D :D

i think its been determend NO! 20's WILL NOT RUB! and there for, 19s wont either. i'm even sick of reading those questions and i dont even post about 'em! one lil thing tho, i personally wouldnt go more then 18s just to keeps best performance and if i did i would deffinately go with a big break kit just counter act the heavy wheels (cuz those brakes are made for 17s and under... cuz the 18 trds were designed well after the fact and the difference between the two arent too great so they could get away with offering 18s and no new breaks.

i think once my wheel gaurd is over i'm going to get the trd 18s... and probably the bling bling ones not the more stock looking ones (i hate bling wheels but i saw those trds on a lexus the other day and i was blown away.

UT OH! i just came up with a rubbing issue question... please dont hurt me. has anyone done the trd drop with something bigger then 18s? any rubbing there?
