as far as i know, the company that make aftermarket headlights and tail lights is called Sonar. and i think they are based in China. Y not find out some info about them and email them instead?

Bad news on the black tails. I received a phone message from the place I ordered them from. They cannot get these from their supplier. They canceled my order and said they would contact me if they became available.

Frequently that's how vendors introduce new products to the market. They advertise them and wait to see how much interest is generated from the advertisement. If not too many people respond, the product is never developed. So for all that are interested, another lesson, if YOU don't show initiative and interset, there will be no product. -JoeB

I kind of figured as much. I hope you got your money back Joe. I'm all for showing interest, but I wouldnt put down any money on it. I'm all for replacing my CF tails with black if they ever come out...the fake CF pattern is kind of lame at close up, but theres no better alternatives for me right now. I was even thinking of cracking my tails open and blackening them myself.

Solara's are just a tough market to sell tails into. Its not a real tuner car, not alot of people have them, 99% of the people that have them keep thier cars stock, and to top it all off, we have pretty nice stock taillights.

I honestly don't think these will ever be made, but I wouldnt mind being pleasantly surpised.

You are correct. My black corners just came in today and look great! They say "Sonar" right on them. If you can get a contact at Sonar, that would be greatly appreciated. I've made a couple requests to the people I bought the black corners from to get the black headlights (preferably projector). They take the information and say they'll check on it but I doubt they are trying hard. They'd probably try harder if they had more requests. If I could contact Sonar, that might help show them there is interest. -JoeB

I have those black corner lights. Eh...there ok. The dealership I went to replaced the old stock lens' with new ones and they look a helluva lot better then the cheap-looking (sonar) black ones. Also, like someone said before, it wouldn't look good with black corners and chrome headligts. Stick with the stock I say until SOME COMPANY makes new headlights for our Solara's!
