Depends if you have a 4 cyl or a 6 cyl. For some odd reason if you have a 4cyl it's really loud and on a 6cyl it's really quiet and the exhaust does come with a silencer. Hope this helps.

The sound is quite nice..a bit louder if you're stick. Ive been pulled over once with it on, but the cop said it wasn't loud enough for a ticket..his reasoning for pulling me over was that he assumed i stole the car.

The JIC Exhaust is Under the 90db or what ever the requirement is. And the slience is included.

And thanks for pointing out the these will fit the 4 and 6 cylinder Solara's.

I am back from SEMA ans I will post the highlights of the trip in the Gen Talk Section.

Later

*cringes...* debating.... JIC has highest performance compared to the evo? I'm just packing a dinky I4 auto(cringe) but i'm just tossing whatever into my car and stopping the modding on the car since I can't do the SDS S/C anymore. I'm already on order with Rippmods for the 5SFE header but i'll be need a hiflow cat to go with this sweet piece of harder with a newer exhaust system. I'm a newbie on piping so uhh.. i'm willing to drop another 1K to finish up my car b4 it collects dusts. Fittment adjustments? I'll have pictures to debut on my b-day in mid feb '06 my car's enhancements. modified project nearing its end.

if you have the kit, (trd) you may melt your center valence in the rear... chris had the problem on my exhaust (which was his) and he modded the pipe to have it go out straight.. normally its angled upwards at a bit of an angle.. so w/o a kit it fits no problem..

you getting the titanium or the stainless one?

Diameter

Postby JMSinMaryland » Sat Nov 12, 2005 10:14 am

What is the diameter of the piping 2.25, 2.5, 2.75 or 3?? Just wondering if it would be compatible with the JPP headers. Thanks Jon.

not comparable... catback only on the 4cyl compared to a v6

with a charger if i remember right people gained 30whp on the jpp system (WITH A CHARGER)

w/o i couldnt find any numbers

jic makes u lose alot of low end torque... adding to that the intake.. its nice in high end, but damn for daily driving my car feels slower overall then my sisters stock camry.

In reference to http://www.solaraguy.org/viewtopic.php?t=19706&start=20

on the performance flow. This is best with a forced type add-on or for stock? Else i'll just jump to an Gevo. I'll be needing a universal hi-flow cat to work with my 5SFE header kit from Rippmods (2.25") as the groupbuy i'm on doesn't come with the hi-flow cat.
