Initial D Vol. 1-3 Lot Manga
Brand NEW and SEALED and in English
Bid and Buy With Confidence!!!
Only the fearless survive in the white-hot world of street racing, as teams take on dangerous roads in the shadow of Mt. Akina. Behind the wheel of the mysterious "Ghost of Akina" is Takumi, on his way to becoming the greatest racer ever.
The Initial D manga series made its debut in 1996 and is currently serialized in Japan in the weekly Young Magazine. In addition, 24 volumes have been released so far in tankoubon (graphic novel) form by Kodansha.
The story also formed the foundation for an extremely long-running and popular anime franchise in Japan: a TV show produced by Avex ran for 39 episodes over 2 seasons from 1998-2000; there were also two OVA episodes and a theatrical movie release, as well.
Vol 1
Takumi Fujiwara spends a lot of time behind the wheel. His tofu delivery job sends him racing down treacherous roads of Mount Akina, and without even realizing it, Tak has mastered racing techniques that take most drivers a lifetime to learn. Of course, none of his friends realize this. They're all too busy watching the Akina Speed Stars, the local street racing team. When the legendary Red Suns show up to challenge the Speed Stars, it seems the local boys are doomed to lose the race. But hope arrives in the form of a mysterious Trueno Eight Six that has been seen racing through the mountain roads. The question is: who is the driver behind this phantom car?
Vol 2
Only the fearless survive in the white-hot world of street racing, as teams take on dangerous roads in the shadow of Akina Mountain. Behind the wheel of the mysterious "Ghost of Akina" is Tak, on his way to becoming the greatest racer ever.
Vol 3
With a little more torque and some tightening of the turns, Tak rides his brakes with the delicate touch of an artist. The young Speed Star drives his father's Eight Six through treacherous mountain passes in a race against the Night Kids' Zack. It's intuitive rookie vs. seasoned street racer atop Mt. Akina, where a deadly combination of five consecutive hairpin turns puts drivers to the ultimate test. As Ry of the Red Suns follows behind, he studies Tak's unorthodox moves and incredible raw talent with keen interest. He is one of many racers eager to pit their own talents against the mysterious Eight Six.
