14k is a little high i think, if you can get it lowered a bit i'd go with the trd solara. its rare and looks good, also its supercharged.

someone did a topic, something like this. it was an 01 solara trd with about 49k miles for 15k. 14k isnt to bad but if you could get it down to 13 or 13.5 it would be nice. have your mechanic do a check on it and make sure everything works on it. it has low miles so everything should be good. heres that topic i was talking about, perhaps that same car? http://www.solaraguy.org/viewtopic.php?t=21399 lots of helpfull stuff here. hope i could be of some help.

TRD bodykit and supercharger is hard to find now, since it is discontinued.

Yeap.
Better go wit the TRD one, and drop that price alittle.
Just Blue-book it and then find out what the price for the kit and S/c now and add to price......

Look around this site, i recall there was a dude in kingwood, TX wanting to sell his car (he was also parting it out). You may want to talk to people who are parting our their cars for sale to buy as a whole...provided their pricing mates with yours!

Id say TRD solara cause its supercharged and its got the kit and wheels. Youll end up spending the money anyway. Talk them down a grand

i would definitely go with the trd one. reason being the supercharger is going to run you 1500ish, however much for installation and tuning, trd kit is 500ish...(being reasonable), paint possibly, wheels and tires 1200...ish, but i would definitely not pay more than 13.5 for it. with a mechanic checking everything out.

since we're on the topic of buying solaras, what do you think my car would be worth?

it's an '01 SE V6, black. been in a few minor accidents, all damage professionally repaired, no expenses spared. has 160k miles on it, 90% highway (i know, it's a lot). has the following upgrades:

tokico/tein combo (70k miles on it)
TRD RSB (70k)
roja formula 7 17x7" rims (almost new, couple of minor scratches)
injen short ram (new)
greddy evo2 (new)
brembo drilled rotors (new, front and rear)
aftermarket black headlight housings, corners

i'm not really considering selling it yet. i love it and i'm having a blast driving it, but i just started to commute to NYC every day and it hurts me to think of what that will do to the car after some time. perhaps it's time for me to face facts and get an SUV.
...baby, you're like cross-town traffic...

jsut go with the trd. youll end up spending the money anyways and then you will have to put the time in to install all the stuff. i paid 13,500 for mine which is high but it only had 50,000 and the trd kit which at the time i had never seed before. all leather, jbl, hks ignition system, greddy evo exhaust short shifter( manual, v6 is rare)real carbon fiber dash stuff.

yeah, i paid alot but at least i didnt have to hund down the stuff. soooo, whatever dude

If its SC'd then most likely its been pushed.

Now if its manual tranny. Thats worth it.

go with trd one, but have em knock off a grand n half. 14k is way too high.
where many hate, few will love,
But for those who love,
they'll see what it's like to live.
