finally got my supercharger.. but wtf?!?!

So after almost a month of waiting ... I finally got the supercharger.

This is what i was expecting

Freakin boost actuator is broken...

and he didnt send the EGR like he said he would.. nor did he have the vaccum lines or the brackets....
and from the looks of it .. i find it hard to believe that it was used for less than 30k miles.
so i contacted him to see wassup. Just asked what happened to other pieces that i was expecting.

so somebody help me out.. what should i do.. ?

anybody gotta spare actuator? is that still fixable?

as for the other pieces missing.. can i use anything else?

I think the acuator may still be available if it is the same on the tacoma supercharger that they currently produce... that sucks bro, Im sorry to see you get hosed like that! Did it come with the idler assembly at all?

that sucks, i truly feel bad for you. he needs to get his act straight. I mean i just bought a used phone from a guy off craigslist ($100 pda phone) didnt expect to have everything, i understand that for something like a box and manual, etc you throw away (i do) but he had everything! You would think that something as highly prized and $Dollar wise as a S/C you would take a little bit more care of removing it and sending everything even if you didnt think it was necessary.

try talking to him, get some (a lot?) of your money back, since these parts are probally very hard to find replacements for. He did say he was "going to take it apart right now" if i do recall meaning that he might have been in a hurry but still, why break stuff or not take care of it....contact him, get a number to keep a constant line of communication...goodluck!

I'm sorry this happened to you man, so sorry. that is just pure bullsh!t. that isn't right. I'd like to help but I know nothing about SC'ers. I really hope you get this resolved and trash his ass.

What about the Idler plate? I HOPE you got that.
The other things look like they could be repaired. And the hardware and hoses are obtainable.

yea he gave me his number..
but his cell .. .doesnt work. .goes str8 to voicemail.
and the other number is his house phone of his parents of where he doesnt live.. wtf? why i dunno..

i tried to be patient waiting for this. hoping that id get in good condition.

and yea it came with the idler assembly. As far as i can tell, it seems fine. Probably the best thing that came outta all of this.
But seriously?? like new??? seems so far from it...

man, thank goodness you have the idler assembly haha... otherwise youd be pretty screwed! as long as you can find an actuator and some hardware, I think youll be alright.

he has most of the pulley bushings.

He's missing the Alternator pivot bolt (which is obtainable), The bracket that attaches the idler plate to the top of the engine, and some misc bolts.
Along with a broken actuator...

yeah, wang actually undercut me to get that SC the first time it was for sale...he seemed kinda shady back then, just look at his pics, hate to say it but I saw it coming. still is bull$hit though.

Let's not jump to conclusions or start a lynch mod just yet. (That never has a pretty ending.)

Perhaps he has these items but they were set aside and missing from your package. As for the broken actuator, any idea how that happened?
(Before removal, during removal or during shipping. - I didn't look at the pics yet.)

As for the cleaning of parts ... was the for sale photo an old picture? Was the S/C still on the car when it was sold?

For everyone: Please remove parts from the car BEFORE posting it for sale. Only post pictures of the parts in the removed condition. All too often we've seen something like this. The parts were sold while they're on the car then the seller removes it and finds (or causes) damage to it on removal. This is not ethical or fair. If this happens, then the seller has an obligation to notify the buyer that the condition is not the same. This gives the buyer a chance to accept, renegotiate or back out of the deal.

Like New TRD Supercharger for a 1mz stick. Includes everything but the ebc. Will change the oil before i ship it since i already have the oil. It will take $2000 for me to part with it. It is awesome and really shines on 5 speeds.

Not sure if you can get an actuator from Toyota. I'd assume so since there have been failures on other S/Cs.

If not, try asking companies that rebuild these units. (Here's one. These guys seem to be familiar with the TRD superchargers.)

the actuator i have on my sc is for a pontiac supercharger, its a direct replacement.
