can the stock headunit from a non jbl system be used with the jbl amp and speakers? i jus have to bypass the internal amp, right? how can i do this

you can use any deck and use the stock jbl amps... use the rca outs and a wiring harnes that acsepts rcas

i believe any toyoya HU would just plug in
i know mine that i am selling is not internaly amplified... i dont know how many are these days

well the base solara system (non jbl) which i have has the amp built into the headunit. its crappy

worst case scenerio if it was internaly amplified and had no rca outs a line out put converter conenected to the speaker oyts and then the line out converter connected to the aformentioned wiring harness should do the trick... sounds confusing but it isnt... probably set you back $30

How much are you looking to spend? The JBL system isn't that much better than the base stereo, seems like alot of work for minimal improvement.

But I got the amp I pulled out of my 99 XLE camry if you want it. 25 bucks shipped.

haha man if u heard the crappy base system, the jbl is a lot better. i really want to spend like thna like 50-75 total. if i was gonna upgrade forreal, itd be spending closer to 350-400
