Timing belt and water pump

Timing belt and water pump

Postby Grnarowana » Mon Jul 25, 2005 4:08 pm

I rencently did a 90K mile tune up for my car and replaced my timing belt and water pump. However, the mechanic said the water pump and timing belt is still in good condition (recent owner probably changed it before the 90K mark). They are toyota parts...water pump from ASSCO and timing belt (just the belt) from Toyota. Take em' both for $60 + actual shipping price.

the belt doesn't seem to have any rips or cracks.
the water pump is still shiny and clean.

ASSCO water pump new runs for $111 and timing belt probably $20 and up.

E-mail me at Grnarowan@aol.com if intrested...I'll also consider a resonable offer also.

Thanks

I'm gunna have to step in here. I'm sorry in advance for ruining your sale, but...

This is a rediculous thing to sell. No one in their right mind should ever buy a used water pump/belt. If you are going to spend the time/money to have the timing belt and water pump replaced, you should use new parts.

I think if you were to sell this item to somebody it would be taking advantage of their ignorance.

I'm sure a lot of times the belt/pump are in good shape, but thats why its preventative maintainence.

This thread will be locked. PM me to discuss this if you'd like to appeal
