what!?!!

anyway, if you need to replace something on the A/C control panel (like a knob or button) you might have to replace the whole panel. try to remove the panel around the shifter and find the piece you dropped.

Well yeah, sunlight is super essential to find it, I tried looking at night and it was impossible. I'm trying again tomorrow, just take apart the whole center console and brake cover and shifter cover and hopefully it'll be in there.

That switch is ONLY on 99's. Good luck finding it. 2000-2003 switched to a recirculate button like the A/C and rear defrost button.

Yo rich,

I just remembered how I knew it was on 99's only.

I bought a HVAC control off ebay a while ago and it had the switch where my 2000 didnt. I needed it because my defroster button's light broke. It said it was from a 99 Solara, so I learned they switched it over in 2000. That means I should be able to pull the knob thing off the center switch off that 99's HVAC control. PM your address and if I can find it in my pile of car crap, I'll ship it to you.

2 words: junk yard. Besides, don't they have the knobs at your local stealership? I don't imagine it being too expensive.
