Walmart sucks

Man i went yesterday and got 2 nails taken out on each front wheel.
And first the guy signin me on the wait list couldn't spell tool.
Also he was slow as hell.
And i waited 2 hours to finally see my car on the lift.
And the guy who signed me on the wait list.
Said on the paper/order service screen "Has 2 wheel locks, do not use power tools"
That meant not power tools on the wheel locks.
I have one from AutoZone and a custom one made from parents friend.
The one that is custom looks like the stock lug nuts but there is a hole drilled on on side of the nut and and a small stainless steel rod is shoved in there so you can't even stick the wrench to it witout the socket he made me.
So the guy gets the nails out, and then gets the custom one on, but strips the AutoZone one down like no other.
Thank god he said WalMart will reimburst me for the new set.
The the service order; who can't under stand that you don't use power tools on wheel locks??
I mean come on, everyone should know that.

They key word is should know...

Sorry for your experience. Are there any other places around your area? This is the reason why I don't mind paying a little more for a more professional place to do things.

I take my wheels for rotation at walmart, i ensure i oversee them they touch my car (i know i may seem like a cocky dude, but i try and act cool and not like an ahole). Only once did i have a problem w/ them, cus my wheel lock lug key cracked (not their fault, but they paid for a new set). I've yet to have problems (KNOCKS ON WOOD) from them....
Oh yeah, and if you don't want to wait, then go midweek in the afternoon's when there is no wait time, weekends are when there is a waistlist!

That's why dealers cost more... they don't have joe mechanic working on the car... they have certified technicians (trained by corporate Toyota, in Toyota's case) performing the work.

At least they are reimbursing you for the locks... do I hear extraordinary MARK UP?! ;)

Yeah i know, i only took it in for 2 nails needed to be taken out.
Next time i need to go to walmart to tire stuff, i'm putting on my stock lugs in stead of my Pep Boys locks.
Since i have a custom one made.
They were nice in payin' me back for a new set.
The one i got now is Forged Cold steel.

Wal-Mart sucks for everything. I don't shop there EVER. It's just not cool to support that company (especially if you knew what they do to their suppliers and everyone who works with them, including their own employees). I'd rather spend a few extra pennies and shop somewhere better (and for savings, I got to Target instead).

I hate that you had to go through that. But honestly, Walmart? (This is like going to Denny's and complaining about the food or service at 2am.) I'd never trust my ride to them. I'd rather remove the tire and walk in with it. (No over-torqued lugs, no wheel scratches during install and removal and no issues with the locks.

Live and learn I guess.
