That sucks Gabe... even though I don't know you personally or dealt with you yet. Being played around like this is unacceptable and I too would feel the same. Plus your here to help the Solara Community out and people like this just ruins everything. I also don't know Quick personally but, he has to get his head together. All I can say is I hope both of you have this sorted out. If not, well Quick reputation is probably ruin by now.

So... Quick (Brian) has been around for a long time, and as mentioned, perceived as an "upstanding" member. Communication delays aside, the burden of a mechanical "removal", etc... coupled with other "personal" problems... (work? health? who knows...) COULD pose difficult barriers to overcome and serve as "reason" for delay. "Reason" is also another word for "excuse" if not effectively communicated and ACKNOWLEDGED by the receiving end. Inasmuch as Gabe is NOT comfortable with WHATEVER the "reasons" or "communication" (lack thereof) that has taken place, I'd think a simple monetary reversal is in order... at LEAST until the committed deliverable of hardware has been delivered... IF Gabe even wants it anymore.

I certainly hope this works out for BOTH of you guys. 2 large is a substantial sum to be shirking out on... and an even BIGGER hit to be shorted in these hard times!

Regardless... please keep this community abreast of this transaction. I think we are all hoping for a quick (pun intended) and amicable resolution!

Well... he hadn't responded in ANY thread of mine, nor to any comments/participation I had in any OTHER threads for a long while. Seems to go back to the day I called him out on a non-productive and stubborn (my opinion) approach to making a good argument over "theology" awhile back... and he appeared to take it personal.

ANYWAY... I, too am concerned whenever a member is around a bunch and then begins to drop off. Especially when he "appears" to be selling off parts from his beloved car!!!??? WHAT UP!?

...it's easy to assume the worst... job, health, depression, or just plain looking for something different in life? In Quick's case, I have to believe he's on tough times, so you hate to kick a guy when he's down. I still believe a HOST of ills can be readily diffused with a few well placed words and some honest, sincere effort at timely and accurate communication. MANY if not MOST issues in cyber-exchanges stem from poor communication or something related. Let's all hope this thing is just a matter of understanding and not maliciousness or neglect...

Gabe, that's a significant sum of money dude. Sounds like its worth taking a trip to TX and paying him a visit.... for tea and crumpets of course. If you play Call Of Duty 2 on the PlayStation network, You'll find him there.
