Park Pilot issue, Need help

Hi Guy's, New Guy here.

Just bought a new Rag top (2008) with JBL Premium Audio, Nav, XM, Bluetooth and all that.

Also have the Park Pilot option (Rear parking beeper).

The issue is Toyota saw fit to include the speaker that beeps (I guess) at a very high frequency that I cannot hear....

I wonder if anyone knows where the speaker is located so I can replace the speaker with one with a lower pitch and louder? It might also help if someone knew the output voltage from the speaker driver?
Maybe I can replace the speaker with LEDs', (Blink faster like the Audio), should be straight forward if I can find a schematic, (Wiring Diagram).

Any help would be appreciated, as I am new to Toyotas' (Had a Corona 40 years ago....Great car!)

A Chevy man in my past life.

I hope this post found the proper section, if not let me know and I will move it....

Also looking to install a reverse camera but not sure where to mount it and not sure about the brand that works best with about 180ΓΈ viewing angle.

Thank you all for your support.

heres a long shot, but try going to the parts counter,
and tell him that yours is broken, usually they go through
their system in front of you to find the parts through drawings
and such.

try to pay attention to where it is??

otherwise, the beeping thingy usually is just a tiny piezo or somehting.
might be over in the key region???

cheers .

If anything, cant u just bring it back and tell them its too soft and u cant hear anything. Im sure if its on warranty, they can fix it for u for free.

:P :P :sweet:

That's his way of saying that you should post an intro in the Introductions section.

I think you have us stumped. First I've even heard of the option. Get the neighbors dog to find it... I'm sure he hears it. 8)

Toyota will able to tell you where it is. They can look it up. Or you can play dumb and just take it in as a warranty issue and say "it's not making a sound like it should". That should sparka conversation that will end in either a fixed tone or you knowing where it is.
