New Sound System

New Sound System

Postby dvdchris45 » Mon Apr 04, 2005 8:02 pm

Well after about a day and half's worth of work I finally got my sound system. My cousin and I installed it on Fridayafternoon.

-Two 12-inch Sony Xploids Subs @ 2600 watts
-1500 Diesel Audio Amp

Might I also add that I'm running them on the stock head unit and speakers and have had no problems thus far. Guess I underestimated them. Now if I set my BASS on -1 or higher I'll go deaf. Trunk rattle isnt too bad at all but still needs dampening.

Check out my cardomain site for quick glimpse of it. I'll holler when I post some high-res pics. Later!

are you sure? sony doesn't make anything that sophisticated... that power rating is better than the Eclipse titanium and the JL W7

1300 Peak
380 RMS

Model: XS-L122P5 (www.xplodsony.com)

RMS power is what you're always using (Continuous Power Handling, as they call it) while Peak is never actually achieved unless you're running full volume/power... There are subs out there (RF one) that are 10,000 PEAK Watts... but the RMS is only like 3,000... which makes 2 "normal" W7 or Titaniums sound 100x better.

What part of California are you from (Nor, So, Central)? I'll show you my 1400 RMS =P
