i have a non-jbl headunit for my gen2 solara. if i purchase the jbl headunit, will it fit and would the dealer install it? would i need a harness adpater for it or is it just plug and play?

You'd need a big exspensive wiring harness, you'd need the dinky amp that goes behind the glovebox. After doing all this work (which is gonna cost a good amount of money) you'd be way better of buying a decent headunit, that's going to be more powerful than the JBL anyways.
