Hey, has anybody had detection problems with this adapter?

I would have sweared by this interface a month ago. I bought mine last fall, and the only issue I've had is that one a month or so, the radio would not detect the external CD interface. I.e., pushing the CD button would not cycle beyond the internal CD player.

BUT, now in the last few weeks it has switched. It now does NOT detect the DF-TOY interface 90+% of the time, and once in a great while, it works.

Whether or not it detects the interface appears to be tied to ignition on, not radio on, but other than that, I can't seem to figure out what's wrong.

Anyone seen this issue? (I have the JBL unit w/o NAV.)

I have a 2002 SE w/JBL and the DF-TOY adapter and since new the HU would not "see" the DF-TOY 30-40% of the time, so I just usually leave it "on". The only way to get it to "see" the DF-TOY again is to turn the car off then on again, that seems to work.

I'm having the problem that the radio does not change to the aux. CD. First few weeks it worked fine, but now when a push the CD button it seems it don't recognize the USAI.

I've used this for maybe a full year....Ipod for one input and xm radio for the other. No issues ever. Rock solid.

Thanks for the update, I always wonder how well this product was, but only had it in my car for a short period of time. I've got another HU since then, and it as all the connections, ipod, xm, navi, etc. All I need now is more money for more toys...lol.

This is just the exact same issue I have. If leave it on it will stay like that. Actually if you disconnect and reconnect it it will work. I think that with the car movement it gets disc. or doesn't get a good conn.

well yesterday i got in my car started it up and the radio did not recognize the aux adapter, so i had to pop out the plastic pieces reach in, un-plug it and then plug it back in. after that it worked like new.

i know others have had to do this, i wonder if it just works loose over time or its something else causing this.

o well, it works now.

since the end doesn't really "click" in, i think it might be prone to getting loose and wat not
basically i just put the cable so there is no weight pulling down on the cable....and i have had no problem since....i think ive had it for over a year now....

What is the best place to purchase this at a good price? Also, does anyone know how to take apart the console for the install (radio panel, shifter area, cup holder area)? I have a 1999 Toyota Solara SLE. Thanks.
