I received my DFTOY today. I think something is missing, how do you connect the IPOD to this?

I was under the impression that the ipod will be connected directly to the box by the Ipod port , and that it will keep it charged.

No, thats not how it works. You need to buy an 1/8" (headphone) to RCA adaptor. The RCA plugs connect to the box, and the headphone plug connects to your iPod.

This unit does not charge your iPod.

It's not a big deal. You're just converting from an standard RCA jack to a standard 1/8" mini jack. It might be cool if they connected to the iPod interface, but there are variants of even that and it would limit the devices you could interface. By using the line level RCA jacks it's compatible with just about everything with a simple cable. One comment, though - you do have to turn the headphone volume way up.

Since the DFTOY offers two inputs, I use one for my XM, and one for my Nano. It's worked great.

Does anyone is having trouble with the DFTOY?

I'm having the problem that the radio does not change to the aux. CD. First few weeks it worked fine, but now when a push the CD button it seems it don't recognize the USAI.

I just bought one of these at my local CC last night. Put it in today, really simple install after reading all the posts about this. It works great and sounds great. Check out your local CC if you need one, around me in NJ they all seem to have them in-stock.

Anyway, 69.99 no tx w/free shipping.... so so.... but if it works well, the money is history, I'll be glad to put it in.

I'll post results...
