MODE button

MODE button

After installing aftermarket 2DIN TV-DVD-player MODE button on the wheel doesn't work.

The guys who did the installation told me that all the buttons from the wheel (music buttons and MODE) are connected to the stock music unit, so they can't help.

Has anybody installed aftermarket 2DIN-player and keeped his MODE button working?

This is in the wrong section. And if you read the install posts in the audio section, you'll find you need a PAC SWI-* (* being the one for your radio) adapter to get them to work. Your disp button, just ground the yellow wire in the 3-wire harness that isn't being used after the install.

ok, thanx a lot! i'm calling now to the technician guys to tell them this important information!

btw, here, in Ukraine, we have OMEGA adapter, that don't use IR, but just has special controller unit: steering wheel controls (RESISTIVE interface) are directly connected to it and this controller has output for most of the modern TV-DVD-radios. So, when you press any button on the steering wheel it has no lag!
