Rear Deck Setup Questions

Well, I have altered my opinion on the stock system since my last post. I still think its great, but i think i wanna do a speaker swap, i m not changin the stereo cuz i like the stock look.

I am lookin at a component system for the front, and then 6"x9" in the rear deck.

I dont know what it looks like under the mesh, and i dont really wanna fiddle with anything until i really have to. So, will a 6x9 speaker fit in the rear deck L/R sides. It measures to be like more than 12inches of mesh but, i wasnt sure if it was 2 speakers in one housing thingy, or just a lotta extra space.

BY THE WAY...i have the JBL system with/out the nav.

and the speakers i m lookin at:

JL TR690 --- 6"x9" pair
JL VR600 --- Component system, tweeters, midrange and crossover.

Are these speakers good? is there anything i should be weary of? anything else?

Basic thing to keep in mind is that the stock JBL doesn't like to be added to. Either you go all aftermarket or start coating the barrel of a loaded gun with BBQ sauce--it'll be easier to suck on when you realize the hell of trying to add on to the stock setup. You are going to need an adapter for the new 6x9's to fit. Your stock JBL amp ain't gonna like the JL component kit you have in mind, the amp already has a crossover. And this is only 0.01% of things you should know before you start spending moolah and taking apart the interior. Search.

My lengthy saga of a musical aspirations thread is a testament to that fact... first hand!
