Allways be carefull about drilling or inserting screws into the car when you haven't checked exactly what is on the other side. If your trying to mount this under the seat, may i sugest using lots and lots of locking velcro. If you put enough strips there you should be able to really dig into the carpet.

Yeah. They came with some velcro too, but I was just thinking in the event someone tried to break in and steal my stuff.

If someone really wants your tronics, so much as to break into your car, they'll pretty much do and use anything to remove it. An alarm is the only useful deterent.

I have my changer under the passenger with two big strips of velcro under it.

the best way to keep people from breaking in, is to turn it down about a few blocks before your destination.

Yes, and you can't really put a wooden board under the carpet. if you look at my sound deadening thread, the carpet is injection molded to fit the car. It allmost didn't fit with just the deadening and a wooden board would be even thicker.

It can be done with a little finess if your willing to put in the work I was talking about a sheet just thick enough to grab the screw maybe 1/8

Velcro should hold just fine.

Another question, what's the easiest way to get the wire through the firewall. Preferably an existing hole, because I do not have the power tools to drill a new one.

EDIT: Nevermind. Found a way through.

Just in case your still looking, there is a grommet on the passenger side of the engine bay, it goes directly behind the glove box.
