I plan or replacing everything eventually, but I am on a budget. Has anyone replaced the speakers and kept the in-dash system? How did that work out? Should I go that route or the other way around?
Thakns!

I swapped out my speakers and added a sub. I am pleased for no but will hook up my 4 channel sometime this winter for more power. I do however prefer to retain my factory looking unit for sake of sh!t getting yoinked.

Thanks all - Glad to be here. I picked up the car today and am loving it. I'll be going with the JVC KDHDR50. Mainly for HD radio (I listen to a lot of am and HD makes a difference there) and the iPod support. I have some speaker questions so I'll start a new thred.

LoL'd i did speakers first then I upgraded the head unit. Believe me you will want the aftermarket HU to get the speakers full potential.

Component speakers in front?

If on a tight budget I say replace the speakers first. Most bang for your buck initially then start replacing in stages as the disposable income gets bigger--headunit, amp, subwoofer, hydraulics.....
